Chicago Pneumatic Announces Partnership with Rich Evans

Huntington Beach Bodyworks Owner Tabbed to Promote CP Tools

Huntington Beach, Calif. - (August 22, 2007) Chicago Pneumatic, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of innovative aftermarket tools, accessories and compressors, has announced a three-year partnership with hot rod designer and TV personality Rich Evans.

Evans, owner of California's Huntington Beach Bodyworks, designs, builds and paints custom hot rods. He has appeared on numerous cable television programs and is recognized for his expertise in automotive body repair and aftermarket tools.

"Rich Evans reflects Chicago Pneumatic's performance standards, and our partnership brings together shared visions of quality, innovation, and a commitment to excellence," said Paul Humphreys, global communications manager for Chicago Pneumatics Vehicle Service Division.

Evans has deep roots in the automotive repair industry. His father was a mechanic and shop owner in California, and he grew up in the shop fabricating, doing mechanical work and building hotrods. He later worked at his grandfatherŐs auto body repair shop before starting his own business.

"I've been using Chicago Pneumatic tools since the '70s, when I was a kid working in my dad's muffler shop," Evans said. "The quality of CP's tools and their dedication to research and development makes me confident that CP is a brand I will always use, whether through a formal partnership or not."

Huntington Beach Bodyworks specializes in customizing and modifying vehicles with unique, show-stopping designs. Evans has appeared on MTV's "Pimp My Ride," the SPEED Channel's "Chop, Cut, and Rebuild," and The Learning Channel's "Junkyard Wars," and he created his own series of Huntington Beach Bodyworks training DVDs.

CP began working informally with Evans last year, and the partnership agreement gives CP unique insight into the usage habits and preferences of a technician.

"I'm very excited that we were able to create a true partnership with CP, a brand I believe in and am proud to support," Evans said. "ItŐs unique to find a company so willing to work directly with technicians during product development, and it's rewarding to watch my recommendations take shape in new tools."

Evans will make public appearances at CP's booth during SEMA 2007 for demonstrations and autograph signings. Evans' image will also appear in future Chicago Pneumatic marketing collateral, and he will make appearances on behalf of CP at NHRA events and other public functions.

Rich Evans, a custom hot rod designer, builder and painter, founded Huntington Beach Bodyworks in 1992 out of his personal garage. Through some trials and tribulations he has built a successful million dollar custom design empire that now operates out of a building that resembles a medieval-style castle.
